The Chipotle Bacon Tater Tots are my new must buy at Comerica Park. They are locate at the Michigan Craft Beer booth out in in right field. This booth is a must visit. They have a bunch of craft beer and unique food. Food includes a few other loaded tater tots, fried peanuts, bacon on a stick, beer cheese and more.
The perfectly cooked tots come in a large Chinese take-out container. They are then topped with a chipotle mayo of sorts. This sauce is very liquidity which causes it to cover all the tots well but they don’t lose their crispiness. Then a heaping load of bacon bits is placed on top of everything. These are the same bacon bits they use throughout the park and get the job done. I had at least 2 spoonfuls of bacon bits left over at the bottom of the container after I finished the tots. So needless to say they don’t skimp on the bacon bits. The saltiness and crispiness of all the ingredients really work well together and you get a little smoky heat along with it to add that depth of flavor. I really enjoyed these if you can’t tell, and for $6 they are a great buy. I will be heading back to try the other food samplings at the Michigan Craft Brew stand, you should too.
