There was really no way McDonald’s could screw this one up for me. Put sautéed onions and bacon on anything and I will probably love it. This did not disappoint.
Let’s start with the Toppings. The onions are good for being a fast food grilled onion, not as delicious as a real restaurant but it’s what you expect from McDonalds, just a little dry. The Bacon is a thicker than many fast food bacon strips and gives a good Smokey flavor to the burger. Adding the “Special Sauce” really made the burger for me. I am all about sauces and I have never thought of the Special sauce/bacon/onion combo but it works.
The Bun is “Artisan.” I didn't feel this added anything special to the Burger, but hey it makes it sound fancy. The burger is also topped with lettuce and tomato, the lettuce is a big leaf not the shredded kind that is often on Mcd’s stuff. Which again didn't really make the burger any better but makes it look a little fancier.
The burger itself is your classic Quarter pounder and comes with, again trying to be fancy, white cheddar.
Overall I like it and would order again if it stays around.
