I Believe we will resign Dekeyser, Sheahan, and Tatar from our Restricted Free Agent crop this year (bye bye to Almquist, Callahan, Emmerton, Ferraro, A few others that haven't played for the wings)
For the Unrestricted Free agents Alfredsson looks to be the only one that will get an offer from the wings if he wants to play another year. Bye bye to Bertuzzi, Cleary, Gustavsson, Legwand, Quincy, Samuelsson. Of those I wouldn' be upset if we signed Gustavsson or Legwand. But Gustavsson was so injury prone this year its hard to trust him and Legwand disappeared in the playoffs (but so did everyone else on the wings.)
The Wings will be looking to add a right handed defensmen and a Big scoring winger (Along with every other NHL team.) If they got whoever they wanted it would probably be Vanek and Matt Niskanen, but free agency is always a crap shoot. Aquiring a Winger may lead to the trade of Andersson and Jurco may be sent to Grand Rapids for the year.
They will probally call up one of the young defensmen. Ouellet, Sproul or Marchenko. This may lead them into Trading Kindl.
I know a lot of people want to see Mrazek as the back up next year, but its looking like the Wings want to give him another full year in Grand Rapids to play, not sit the bench in the NHL. There will be a lot of goalies available. An interesting one would be Al Montoya. A former U of M Wolverine and has played great at times for The Jets.
Here is a possible line up (that won't Happen because we don't get the big free agents anymore)
Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Abdelkader
Alfredsson - Weiss - Vanek
Nyquist - Sheahan - Tatar
Franzen - Glendening - Helm
Miller
Kronwall - Ericsson
Dekeyser - Niskanen
Lashoff - Smith
Ouellet
Howard
